Unpackaging of the JAVA [ Sterling Integrator / GIS ] # Windows

 

 


To install Java for IBM Sterling Integrator, you'll need to follow specific steps, as Sterling Integrator requires a compatible Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK). Here's a step-by-step guide

Download the JAVA for the Sterling Integrator 

Go to : https://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral

Enter the required information as below example:



Download the package for the JAVA required for your required SI version

Example JAVA version for the SI V6.2.0.1

fix pack: 8.0.8.15-JavaSE-SDK-B2Bi-6201 
SDK_6020001


JAVA installation based out of Operating System:

 

1. Windows 

Download "SDK_6020001" on the Windows SI Server

Extract/unzip the package SDK_6020001.zip

Below is the output after the extraction of the JDK package.



The JDK for Windows operating system is **-**-**80-WIN-x86_64

You must to extract now the ZIP package file for the Windows operating system.

It would be like : ibm-java-sdk-80-win-x86_64/sdk


Note: You must to COPY the location of your UNZIP folder.

Example: C:\Users\USER.USER\Downloads\SDK_6020001\ibm-java-sdk-80-win-x86_64

The above location required to provide at the time of the Installation of the Sterling Integrator. 


If you are performing the installation by the method of the "Response file" then you must to provide this JAVA extraction path to the below :

If you are performing the installation by the method of the "IIM GUI" then you must to provide the JAVA extraction path when it asked for the SDK location
